The Orbit survey found that on average, bloggers take approximately about 3 hours and 17 minutes to write a blog post. That is a 26.5% increase over the same survey which was done last year.

Nevertheless, the study even discovered that “twice as many bloggers are writing around 6 hours and above on their average post.”

There seems to be a correlation between the time spend on a blog post and its results. Nearly one third of bloggers who spent 6 hours and above to write an article reported “amazing results,” whereas just a quarter of bloggers who spent less than 6 hours reported to achieve the same results.

As for this, ConvertKit survey did not provide data on how much time does a bloggers take to write a blog post.

From my personal experience of writing on a few blogs, it takes between 4 to 8 hours to produce an high quality blog post. This include the preparation for and doing interviews, doing research on a topic, and closely vetting research sources.

However, there’re many factors that influence on the writing duration, like the topic’s complexity, or maybe how long the blog articles of yours need to be as well as the writer’s experience and etc.
